RainForest Water proudly achieves FSSC 22000 Certification

Hygiene and food safety for our customers – whether in storage, production, or shipping – is our highest priority. RainForest Water has therefore recently completed the FSSC 22000 certification program for its production plant located in Campos Lapa Verde, Sarapiquí, Costa Rica.

The certification means that RainForest Water conforms to all industry related statutory and regulatory requirements as outlined by the FSSC 22000 International Standard for Food Safety Management Systems. This standard integrates ISO 22000 principles of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) with GMP prerequisite programs. The certification comes after a rigorous process that included numerous facility upgrades and internal process improvements.

What is FSSC 22000 Certification?

FSSC 22000 is a reference food safety standard of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). FSSC 22000 is based on the widely recognized ISO 22000 Food Management Systems standard, the relevant industry Prerequisite Program (PRP) and additional requirements defined by the FSSC.

RainForest Water is bottled at source and complies with the highest standards in quality control and international certifications.
